Take charge of your business critical documentation
Without a proper document repository, such as DECK Document, controlling who has access to what document is a cumbersome process. It also puts you at risk for having your business critical documents being accidentally overwritten, deleted or misplaced.
DECK Document uses metadata, or tags, for cataloguing documents rather than organizing them into folders. It provides greater flexibility and it is much easier to manage a set of tags than a hierarchical folder collection.
Key Features in DECK Document
Searchable
Documents are indexed for keyword, and full text searching. Making it easy to quickly locate the document your looking for.
Filtering
Folder browsing supports filtering on folder or document criteria – such as date, owner, document type, and keywords.
Multiple Folders
A document can be linked to an unlimited amount of folders, in the event that one document relates to multiple subjects.
Access Control
Access to documents are controlled at the document rather than the folder level. A user either has the right to read, write, search or list documents and are controlled via Access Control Lists, further discussed in DECK Security.
Version Control
Version control gives you peace of mind. Multiple versions are stored with the ability to track revision histories such as dates, authors, and change sets.
Document Retention
Have a retention policy for important documentation such as contracts and reports? Keep them in DECK Document and automatically dispose of them at the end of the retention period, all managed in DECK Compliance.
